Refund and Cancellation Policy

Default refund, cancellation, no-show, event-change, and membership rules for paid Roda services.

This policy applies when Roda starts charging booking fees, event fees, or subscription memberships.

Scope

This policy applies to paid Roda bookings, event fees, service fees, and subscription memberships sold by Unlabored Labs, Inc. through the Roda app or related checkout pages.

If Roda cancels or materially changes an event

  • If Roda cancels a paid event, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid for that event, unless you choose a replacement event or credit.
  • If Roda materially changes the date, time, location, core activity, or expected cost after booking, you may choose a refund, replacement event, or credit where available.
  • Refunds go back to the original payment method unless another lawful method is agreed.

If you cancel

  • Before your table is confirmed, you can step back at any time: your seat reservation is released and you are never charged.
  • After your table is confirmed, the seat fee stays with the table if you withdraw: the group and venue planning were fixed counting on your seat. The seat fee is the most you can ever lose — there are no additional charges.
  • No-show: the seat fee is not refunded.
  • If the experience was not worth showing up for, tell us: money back, no questions asked.
  • We may make exceptions for safety concerns, illness, duplicate charges, accessibility issues, or other good-faith circumstances at our discretion.

EU withdrawal rights

For many online purchases, EU consumers may have a 14-day withdrawal right. However, date-specific leisure, social, or event services can be excluded from that right when the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance.

Even where the withdrawal right does not apply, Roda provides the voluntary cancellation policy above.

Memberships

  • If Roda offers subscription memberships, the price, renewal period, included benefits, trial terms, and cancellation method will be shown before purchase.
  • You can cancel future renewal through the method shown at purchase or by contacting hello@roda.place.
  • Cancellation stops future renewal. It does not automatically refund past membership periods unless required by law or stated at checkout.

Processing times

Approved refunds are submitted promptly. Your bank, card issuer, or payment provider may take additional time to post the funds. Stripe or another payment provider may process the transaction on Roda's behalf.

How to request help

Email hello@roda.place with your account email, event date, booking reference if available, and the reason for your request. Before paid bookings open, Roda will publish any required Portuguese complaints-book and consumer ADR details.
