Joining Roda, creating your profile, and being considered for matching are free.
Free after the group forms
Everything after a group forms is free: keeping in touch, seeing each other again, and doing the thing twice because it was obviously good. You pay to meet them; keeping them is free.
Free during beta
Booking a table is free while Roda is in beta: no seat fee and no wallet hold. Food, drinks, and anything a venue or activity provider charges are separate.
The seat fee below applies once Roda starts charging. We will update this page and tell you in the app first; tables booked while booking was free stay free.
The seat fee
Once seat fees start, you only pay when Roda builds you a new table. In Lisbon, that seat fee is €8, and it is charged only when the table is confirmed.
You book with Apple Pay on iPhone or Google Pay on Android, so there is no card number to type into Roda. Your wallet first authorizes an €8 hold; it is not a charge.
If the table confirms, Roda captures the authorized €8. If it does not, the authorization is released automatically and you are not charged; your bank may take a little time to remove the pending hold.
The guarantee
If the evening was not worth showing up for, it is on us: money back, no questions. The Refund and Cancellation Policy explains the wider cancellation rules.
No attention tax
No ads, no data sales, no engagement metrics. We only make money when you actually go out.
